The Colorado Buffaloes are next in the receiving line of USC transfers as WR Travon Patterson is headed to the Centennial State. The senior WR never got a chance to shine at USC being he was buried in the depth chart of the talented rich WR pool. As a Trojan, the speedster did return punts and saw some special teams playing time but as a WR he only amassed 10 catches for 96 yards, hardly NFL material.
Though he only has one year of eligibility remaining, he does not have to sit out a season as a result of USC’s sanctions. At this point, it’s pretty safe to say that Patterson will see immediate playing time since Colorado sports the worst offense statistically in the Big 12. The strong handed Paterson will be a much welcomed addition to Coach Hawkins and for his sub par QBs in Tyler Hansen and Cody Hawkins.
Additionally, word on the oval is the Colorado track team is also interested in Patterson’s services being he ran the lead leg in USC’s 2008 relay team.
