A Rose (Bowl) by any other name

Got $100 million? The Rose Bowl needs a new sponsor.

The Granddaddy of Them All is desperately seeking a new sugar mama. Citi, the embattled banking giant, decided it’s time to sever its ties as the presenting sponsor of the Rose Bowl. The landscape of this relationship was doomed when ESPN took control over all sales of marketing and advertising of the New Year’s Day event. Citi had enough of ESPN’s total broadcasting rights and decided to throw in the towel.

Meanwhile, the Rose Bowl is going back to the well courting its once presenting sponsor, AT&T. Frankly, I would prefer Playboy Enterprises, Inc. as the presenting sponsor as Hugh Hefner is certainly the Granddaddy of Them All.
