Alabama will be forced to make their run for a second straight national championship without safety Robby Green. The 6’0 180 lb. sophomore will miss all of the 2010 college football season after the NCAA ruled him ineligible for violating NCAA policy. Even though Green will miss all of next season, he will still be able to practice with the team and will remain on scholarship. Alabama has been secretive about Green’s issue and no reason has been given for his suspension.
Green was the leading candidate for Alabama’s safety vacancy and was expected to make a large contribution to their defense next year. Hopefully Green can keep a good head on his shoulders and come back for the Tide in 2011.
