Ole Miss Safety Bennie Abram Dies During Team Workouts On Friday
Another tragedy struck the SEC today. Not even 48 hours removed from the murder of Vandy recruit Rajaan Bennett, Ole Miss lost saftey Bennie Abram after collapsing during the first day of the team’s workouts.
Details of Abram’s death are still coming in but school officials say that the 20 year old appeared to be having trouble shortly after the first workouts began. Ole Miss trainers called 911 and Abrams was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital North-Mississppi where he died a few hours later.
Abrams was a walk-on who transferred to Ole Miss from Itawamba Community College last year. Our deepest sympathies go out to the Abram family and the Ole Miss community.
