Vol Navy sets sail for Haiti

Kiffin (t-shirts) headed to Haiti

Lane Kiffin is a saint and he doesn’t even know it. When the Vols hired Kiffin to take the reigns, there was so much excitement and hope in the air that the school created the Adidas’ “It’s Time” Lane Kiffin t-shirt. Well in the wake of the most devastating earthquake in Haiti, a West Knoxville apparel store, Hound Dogs, is offering anyone who brings in their “It’s Time” t-shirt 20% off their next purchase. All the t-shirts collected will be donated and shipped to ravaged Haiti.

Haiti has a population of roughly 10 million people. There were supposedly 100,000 “It’s Time” t-shirts produced. Assuming even 5% return their t-shirt, that means you will have a sea of roughly 5,000 Haitians draped in orange and white.

So we all owe a little bit of thanks for Kiffin’s selfish departure to USC because without it, there would be no Kiffin clothing drive.

In a short while, a select group of Haitians will be true and true Vol fans. Let me be the first to thank Mr. Kiffin for his generous clothing drive and helping those who are suffering in Haiti.
