Oregon Clinches the Pac-10

A rise to the top

Oregon is headed to Pasadena for a January 1st Rose Bowl date with Ohio State. Oregon hasn’t played in the Rose Bowl since 1995. Thursday night’s edition of the Civil War had high stakes with the winner claiming the Pac-10 crown and an all expense paid trip to sunny California for the holidays.

The game lived up to all its hype as Oregon won 37-33 after converting on two crucial fourth down attempts on its final drive. Oregon State played a heck of a game and left everything on the field at Autzen Stadium. The win concluded a roller coaster season for the Ducks that included a historic win over conference power USC. They had to deal with the distraction left by the punch heard around the world, but the Ducks stayed focused every week and steam rolled many an opponent.

Congrats Oregon on a thrilling season, see ya in Pasadena.
