Tragedy strikes Eastern Illinois
It’s a solemn morning in Effingham, Illinois as Eastern Illinois’ assistant coach Jeff Hoover died following a car crash upon his return home from a road play-off game. Earlier on Saturday, the team lost 48-7 against Southern Illinois. After the game and on the way home, Hoover was involved in a car accident when he attempted to swerve to avoid a deer. Additionally, when his SUV rolled over it caused injuries to his passengers to include family members.
