For all you dreamers out there, Tom Thompson is proof that if you fight hard enough your dreams will come true. Thompson is 61 years old and still plays college football. He is the PAT kicker for the Div. III Austin College Kangaroos.

The 5’8 185 lb grad student kicked his way into the record books this weekend for being the oldest player to successfully kick a PAT for the Kangaroos (or college football for that matter). Though the kick was good, the team still lost big to Trinity 44-10, but let’s not let the loss take away from Thompson’s tenacity.

Three cheers for this grad student who hasn’t played football in over 40 years when he was a back-up kicker in high school.

Coppell, Texas should be proud of its hometown hero.
