Collins (#1) went from top running back at Nebraska to top convict

The Matador is sad to report that Nebraska great RB Thunder Collins has just been handed a quasi-death sentence. He will remain behind bars for the rest of his life for his role in the September 2008 incident that involved the shooting and killing of 38 year old Timothy Thomas and the serious wounding of Marshall Turner.

Collins was a campus legend in Omaha for his game changing performances, now his name remains infamous for this heinous crime. In a nutshell, Collins was part of a botched drug deal gone wrong which resulted in an altercation and ultimate gun fight.

To this day, Collins maintains his innocence. Collins’ attorney said an appeal will be filed.
