The backfield is slowly dissipating over in East Lansing, Michigan. Yesterday, RBs Andre Anderson and Caulton Ray were surprisingly not listed on Michigan State’s active roster list. When contacting the team about the duo, associate AD John Lewandowski confirmed that the two backs are no longer with the team, but would not elaborate on any specifics.
This is a big hit for the Spartans as Ray started the season at RB and thus far amassed 156 yards and 1 TD in 40 carries. Anderson had a limited role this season because of the strong performances by Caper, Baker and Winston, but with his absence the Spartans just don’t have the depth that the team had hoped for.
As the story develops, The Matador will continued to provide the coverage.
