As my readers are aware, this site is 100% dedicated to college football, but every now and then, I will break the plane and touch base on other sports. So with that, a well deserved round of applause goes out to star basketball player Kevin Laue (rhymes with “pow”).
Kevin Laue is a 6’11 center from Pleasanton, California. He is about to embark on a difficult journey of playing D-1 NCAA basketball for Manhattan College. Not only does he have to deal with being a freshman, but he also has to deal with playing with one hand–or as some would call it, a physical defect. Though Laue was born with one hand, he never let that stop him from pursuing his dream of playing college basketball.
He is the modern day Rudy–an inspiration for all athletes. The Matador will be sure to tune in on November 14th when the Jaspers tip-off their season and make history.
Well done Mr. Laue!
