WR Darius Reynolds breaks leg in practice

Bad news for you Iowa State fans. Yesterday, WR Darius Reynolds broke his leg in practice–fracturing his fibula. Reynolds will be out of commission for at least one month. This is a significant loss to an injury prone Cyclones team that doesn’t have much talent to begin with. Basically, Reynolds, as a juco transfer and 1st year starter, is the 2nd leading receiver on the team.  As a top receiver, he has only amassed 13 receptions for 72 yards.

As of now, there is no word regarding Reynolds’ exact status, but typically with a broken fibula, you can expect him to be out for 4-6 weeks.

Regardless, Reynolds will surely be missed on offense as the Cyclones (3-1) open Big 12 play this Saturday against Kansas State (2-2).
