The Akron Zips don’t usually make the headlines, but in a surprising and stunning move by coach J.D. Brookhart, starting QB Chris Jacquemain has been suspended for the classic “violation of team rules.”
Of course, the school will not define what rules Jacquemain violated but we do know he is no stranger to suspension. In 2007, Jacquemain was also suspended, for you guessed it, violation of team rules.
So far this season, Jacquemain started the first two games for the Zips and completed 13-of-22 passes in each game, throwing four touchdowns and one interception.
The Zips are slated to play Indiana this Saturday and back-up QB Matt Rodgers will get the start followed by walk-on Jared Wackerly.
