According to Kentnewsnet.com, SR RB Eugene Jarvis suffered a severe kidney injury against Boston College this past Saturday. As a result, he will miss the remainder of the season. Jarvis is one of the top backs coming out of Kent State who amassed 3,426 career rushing yards. He will certainly be missed by the team.
On the injury, “We’ve got a development with Eugene Jarvis and (he’s) going to be out for the season,” Kent State coach Doug Martin said in a press conference today.”He’s got a kidney injury that he sustained in the game at Boston College in the first half, and that tough little rascal, I’ll tell you what, he would’ve played the whole game if I hadn’t…figured out what was going on myself.”
Jarvis will petition the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility. Based on his injury, he will most likely receive the additional year.
