JoePa is throwing down the gauntlet, sort of. He is fed up with CB A.J. Wallace‘s lack of effort when it comes to going to class. To show he is serious, he is threatening to suspend Wallace for two games if his attendance does not improve. Now for most programs, this would be huge, but fortunately for Penn State, the suspension, if applied, would be against Akron and Syracuse, neither of which have an aerial assault worthy of concern.
If Wallace continues to cut class, his suspension could mean missing more games and ultimately dismissal from the team. If this were to occur, Penn State would have serious secondary problems, because Wallace is the most experienced player out of the bunch.
For Penn State fans, let’s hope Wallace gets his act together. After all, he is on scholarship, he is a starter, and all JoePa wants is for him to attend class.
