I didn't do it!
The Orlando Sentinal is reporting that the ole ball coach, Lou Holtz, is exploring a bid for congress in central Florida. Holtz would presumably run as a republican to challenge first-term U.S. Representative Suzanne Kosmas (D).
Now I’m no Karl Rove, but this is actually something Holtz could win if strategically done properly. He is generally loved by college football fans, he has a brand name, he has been living in Florida, and most senior Republicans would support him. I recognize this doesn’t make him qualified to be a Congressman and this former LB from Kent State has no government experience, but if Sarah Palin can be a vice presidential nominee, then anything could happen.
