Jessica Dorrell and Coach Bobby Petrino's inappropriate relationship have come into question.

Despite what happens off the field, if you win 21 games in two seasons, fans will support you wholeheartedly, at least if you are Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino.  Ever since the infamous motorcycle accident in which Petrino was anything but truthful, the university placed him on administrative leave causing a stir amongst the Razorback Nation. So much so, loyal fans have cried out to save Petrino’s job.

As the facts surrounding the motorcycle accident and inappropriate relationship with 25-year old Arkansas football employee Jessica Dorrell surface, calls to question arose as to whether athletic director Jeff Long should reinstate the university’s beloved coach.  In an attempt to sway Long, the Razorback Nation created a Facebook page to rally support for coach Petrino in which over 8,600 members have joined “Team Save Coach Petrino.”  Additionally, there is a rally planned for tonight at 7:00 pm at the Broyles Center parking lot.

As quoted by the group’s organizer, Matt Couch stated “It’s a great week for forgiveness, with it being the Easter weekend. We want to forgive, forget and win.”

It is clear Couch, among the rest of the Razorback Nation, is focused on winning, who cares that Petrino was having an affair, lied about the accident, lied to his school and players, and lied to himself.  Petrino should be a role model, and winning games is only part of the big picture, not the only picture.

The question remains, if coach Petrino did not have 22 wins in two seasons, would his infidelity and lack of veracity garner this type of support?

OK, I WAITED APPROXIMATELY 60 TO 75 MINUTES FOR ‘SUMONE TO CORRECT MY INCORRECT SPELLING OF CHARACTER. I’M JUST TRYING TO ‘GIT FOLKS TO STOP & THINK ABOUT “THINGS” BEFORE SPEWING THE DRIVEL A PERSON CAN READ OR HEAR ON A DAILY BASIS.

P.S. I WOULD DISAVOW A FAMILY MEMBER FOR SOME OF THE THINGS I READ OR HEAR FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

DAMN FOLKS, I HOPE YOU’RE NOT ALL ARKANSAS STUDENTS OR GRADS. JOJO, TRY “DOES NOT” INSTEAD OF DOESNT WITH INCORRECT PUNCTUATION.

GOPHER, YOU MADE A “GOOFER”, YOUR SECOND WORD HAS ANOTHER E — SEE IF YOU CAN PUT IN THE RIGHT PLACE. ALSO TRAILER “HOUSE” — THEY’RE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS — TRY TRAILER HOME OR MOBILE HOME.

SCOTT “WHEN YOUR PAID” SHOULD BE WHEN YOU’RE PAID.

JOE, PETRINO IS A FOOTBALL COACH “HE IS MADE” — TRY HE HAS MADE OR HE IS MAKING.

ASHLEY, YOU HAVE WRITTEN THE BEST RESPONSE — BY A HUGE MARGIN, CONTENT INCLUDED.– DITTO FOR PAT ON YOUR 11:49 AM ENTRY.

PETRINO IS A GOOD FOOTBALL COACH BUT OF VERY LOW CARACTER, A SORRY EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING. SO FANS, IF YOU WANT THAT KIND OF PERSON REPRESENTING YOU & YOUR SCHOOL, PLEAD YOUR CASE TO OTHER “FOOLS”. WOULD YOU BACK HIM IF HIS RECORD WAS 2-11 NOT 11-2 WITH 21 WINS THE LAST TWO YEARS ??? FOLKS LIKE YOU HAVE “FLEXIBLE” MORALS. IN CASE TOU MISSED THE POINT — JOE THIS FOR YOU!!!

    sorry about that.

Arkansas knew WHAT/WHO they were getting when they hired him. Don’t act so shocked. He should be fired. Men have such big egos. If he had not gotten her this job and if he wasn’t who/what he is, she would not have given him the time of day (just my opinion).

Role model my backside. Half season suspension, 500 hours of community service, sizeable donation to Boys and Girls Club, and a class in sensitivty. This guy let his family, Razorbacks fans and the U. Arkansas down. He lied and I hope someone digs up things from his closet, and the U. of Arkansas either fires him or carries out the above punishment I laid out.

Fire him and his bimbo both hire a coach for football, not a stud for breeding, you can get a good stud at any farm sales a lot cheaper that a has been cheating coach, ask Louisville about him, oh I forgot they cannot tell about his stay there.

Apparently people outside of Arkansas don’t read. Joe, not sure which state you hail from, but a lot of states including Arkansas have conduct clauses in contracts. Petrino violated that, he lied, he misused his power to get what’s her face transferred to working directly under him, no pun intended. His wife could sue her for alienation of affection from a spouse, but hey youre right none of that is doing anything wrong. You’re a genius and obviously the north that everyone’s moral compass should point towards.

Petrino did nothing wrong. Petrino broke no laws committed no felonies or misdemeanors so what’s the beef. Petrino is a football coach he is made 3.6 million to win games at Arkansas which he does ina big way. Let him coach he is doing extremely well.

Give me a break ! He suppose to be setting a example for young men. They fired Larry Eustacy(sp) the Iowa State basketball coach for having picture’s posted of him at a bar/frat after a game and he had just won the Big Eight Championship. He had really turned the program around.Fricking ACC and SEC have different standards for their coaches and players!

thats a tough call, firing him because he hooked up with an employee and lied about it. I mean it’s not like it was little boys (that’s right PSU, Im looking at you). There needs to be some punishment. Firing might be too harsh. Maybe suspend him without pay for half a season. It’s tough to match the punishment with the crime. I do not envy Long.

I’m a little dissapointed in Bobby Petrino and I’m sure his wife is too, along with the Arkansas staff, players and fans. One would expect that a college coach would have a little more dignity than that! I think he should be fired and made an example of.This kind of behavior can not be tolerated! When your paid that kind of money and represent a university like Arkansas you just don’t do stupid stuff like that. If they let him stay, do you think he is going to stop screwing around? Duh, well hell no, especially with all the fine women there. This is just my opinion. What say you?

Does evryone in Arkansas live in a trailer house or what ?

  13. Meanguy on April 9, 2012 at 2:37 pm

Apparently Petrino’s life revolves around football. Even his mistress has a football-shaped head.

  14. Aaron on April 9, 2012 at 2:11 pm

Just goes to show the lack of reading by the average college student.

  15. jojo on April 9, 2012 at 1:29 pm

Is that a current picture of petrino, he doesnt look so good. As for supporting the coach, he lied to the media so his wife wouldnt find out he was getting head from a 25 year old blond. I’m not saying its right, but I do understand.
