Harvard to Yale: “We are the 6%”

Let the trash talking begin!

The Harvard-Yale football game is the biggest rivalry in Ivy League sports. So much so, Yale QB Patrick Witt opted out of his Rhodes Scholarship interview so he can play The Game. Harvard fans also love to get into the spirit of The Game by donning their best version of the snobbiest football gear to rouse Bulldog fans. This year’s version does not disappoint.

For approximately $15, you can be the proud owner of the “Occupy Yale” pinnie. The front of the pinnie reads “Occupy Yale” while the back boasts “We are the 6%.” The design is dubbed as a cultural reference to the Occupy Wall Street movement and the fact that Harvard has a record low 6.2% acceptance rate for the class of 2015. The Crimson scoff at Yale as the Bulldogs seem to accept anyone these days with a friendlier 7.35% acceptance rate.

It remains to be seen how the Yale faithful will respond, but the team is anything but occupied as the Bulldogs own a 65-54-8 series record over the Crimson.
