WR Albert Gary will be suited on Friday night despite pending first-degree robbery charge.

After the Penn State scandal, all things college football seems so trivial but life goes on particularly for Iowa State’s WR Albert Gary. Gary has been charged with first-degree robbery stemming from an on campus robbery back in June. When head coach Paul Rhoads was informed of the incident, he suspended Gary for three games.

Since he served his suspension, Gary has been cleared to play despite his current legal situation. This should come to no surprise as Oklahoma State is next on the slate and Rhoads wants every player suited on his roster if has any hopes of upsetting the #2 team in the nation.

Authorities believe Gary was the individual who committed the on-campus robbery at gunpoint back on June 19. A victim testified that six men, one being Gary, approached his group while displaying a handgun. Gary then fled the scene but was later identified by a witness.

On Monday, an arrest warrant was issued and today, the 22 year-old sophomore had no choice but to turn himself in to the Story County Sheriff’s Office. He posted the $25,000 bond and was released.

Though Gary was charged with a Class B felony, which means he could face up to 25 years behind bars, he will be playing this Friday night.
