I’m not sure who Broderick Green knows, but he pulled off a miracle in transferring from USC to Arkansas without having to sit out a year. Back in November, he announced he was going to transfer to Arkansas to be closer to his ailing maternal grandmother. Generally, if you transfer from one D1 school to another, you have to sit out for one year. Green appealed to the NCAA to be exempt from this provision.
Fortunately, the NCAA just approved the appeal and he was reinstated to play effective immediately. Green was pleased with the ruling and the family couldn’t be happier.
Arkansas and Coach Bobby Petrino are both pleased because now they have a 6’2, 240 lbs back who rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns on a USC team heavy with talent. Green should have an immediate impact in Paul Petrino‘s offense.
Congratulations Green, you are officially a Hog. Also, we wish your grandmother well.
