Jackson State University to Build $200 Million Domed Stadium

Jackson State University announced plans to build a $200 million state-of-the art domed football stadium.  The new domed stadium will seat 50,000 fans, well over the 24,000 fans the Tigers have been averaging in attendance as of late.    Funding for the project will come from public and private donors in addition to anticipated revenue (such as selling the naming rights). Hillary Clinton receives protective gear

With Secretary of State Hillary Clinton returning back to work after suffering a concussion and blood clot.  Her staff thought it would be a nice gesture to provide her with some protective gear to prevent another head injury.  The staff gave her a football helmet with the State Department logo and a football  jersey with the number 112, representing the 112 countries she visited during her tenure. With 35 bowl games slated for 2012-13, the NCAA is allowing each bowl to award up to $550 in gifts to 125 participants per school. Additionally, schools can buy additional packages so they can distribute to participants beyond the 125 limit.
