NCAA says “NO” to Arizona State

Arizona State is coming off of a miraculous win over in-state rival Arizona. After blocking a PAT in double overtime and hoisting the Territorial Cup, the Sun Devils finished the regular season 6-6. According to the NCAA, 6 wins makes you automatically bowl eligible. However, there is one caveat to the rule. If you play two FCS teams (Div. 1-AA) you must have at least 7 wins. Steven Threet finally gets the stage

ASU’s Steven Threet will take the field as starting quarterback for the first time in nearly two years when Arizona State opens their season against Portland State this Saturday. Threet has been somewhat of a gypsy throughout his collegiate football career. The 6’4, 240 lb., redshirt junior has played for three division 1 programs since graduating high school in 2006.
