The San Diego State Aztecs are set to host the BYU Cougars in the 2012 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl this Thursday, December 12, 2012 at 8 pm (EST) on ESPN.  This is the Aztecs second appearance in the Poinsettia Bowl (defeated Navy 35-13 in 2010) while this is the first time the Cougars are traveling to Qualcomm Stadium for post-season play. Best To Sit For Cal’s Bowl Game

Cal’s star RB Jahvid Best will not play in the team’s Poinsetta Bowl game. Best suffered a frightening concussion in early November and hasn’t played a down of football since. This has been a disappointing end of the season for the one time Heisman hopeful. Before suffering the injury, Best had rushed for 864 yards and 16 TDs.
