When Hawaii hosts Fresno State this Saturday, the Warriors will be without the services of QB Greg Alexander, Colt Brennan‘s successor. Alexander severely injured his left knee during Wednesday’s loss at Louisiana Tech when he was pushed out of bounds by linebacker Adrien Cole. After the diagnosis, it was determined that Alexander must undergo season ending knee surgery to repair ligament damage. In an attempt to make right, Hawaii’s coach Greg McMackin faces a 30 day suspension without pay and has volunteered to take an additional 7 percent pay cut from his $1.1 million salary for making his “little faggot dance” comment when rehashing the pregame events before last year’s Hawaii Bowl. Hawaii’s head coach Greg McMackin needs to think before he speaks.  During yesterday’s WAC media day, McMackin relayed a story about last year’s crushing defeat in the Hawaii Bowl at the hands of the Fighting Irish.  During the pregame festivities, the Irish performed their traditional dance much to the delight of all the Notre Dame  fans that traveled to the Island.
