Auburn lands a top prospect in Cyrus Kouandjio
Offensive line coach Jeff Grimes couldn’t be more pleased with Dematha’s Cyrus Kouandjio signing with Auburn. The 6’7 offensive tackle, who weighs-in at a staggering 325 pounds, signed his letter of intent today committing to the current National Champs. Kouandjio was ranked as one of the top prospects in all of high school football and held scholarships to virtually every program he considered.
After much anticpation, Auburn finally landed its anchor on the O-line. Kouandjio already possesses great footwork and speed for his size and once he improves his pass protection and technique, he will be the complete package. SEC rivals better beware.
UPDATE: (From the Washington Post) Not so fast, Kouandjio doesn’t sign papers, weighs options. Alabama is still in the mix.
