The 111th Army-Navy game kicks-off this Saturday. Navy should easily win.

Army and Navy are squaring off for the 111th time this Saturday afternoon which also marks the end of the college football regular season. The oddsmakers set the line at Navy -7.5 with an over/under at 53.5. Despite the admiration between these two fine institutions, come game time, Navy will come out strong, score often, and easily cover.

Navy is led by QB Ricky Dobbs who is part of a senior class that absolutely decimated Army in the past 3 games with a combined score of 89-6. Navy did not yield a TD in any of those games. There is no question Navy’s offense will put up serious numbers. Dobbs alone has 10 passing TDs and 13 rushing TDs. The offense averages 31 points per game with a stout defense that is yielding only 22.8 points per game.

Meanwhile, Army is coming off of a 27-3 beat down at the hands of Notre Dame and is barely limping into post season play. If this was a battle between soldiers, Army wins hands down. However, since Army does not recruit football players like the other two service academies, they don’t really have a shot at winning. Army just does not have the offensive firepower to keep up with Navy.

Army’s QB Steelman has a miniscule 5 passing TDs and has yet to throw for a 1,000 yards this season. The team ranks 120th overall in passing. With such a dismal aerial attack, Navy will stop Army’s one dimensional ground game dead in its tracks.

Navy is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 head-to-head games. The favorite is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings. Both of these schools deserve the utmost respect, but in the end, Navy will crush Army.
