The Mackey Award is presented to the best tight end in the country. Last season, Missouri’s Chase Coffman walked away the winner. Coffman was selected in the third round of the 2009 NFL draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.

* Not sure why Irby is on the list, as Texas’ projected starting tight end Blaine Irby will miss the upcoming season as he recovers from a dislocated right knee injury sustained early last season.
