Baylor’s Costly Gorditas

Baylor's Willie Jefferson (#17) and Josh Gordon (not pictured) were both charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Two Baylor football players failed to think outside the bun this past weekend. WRs Willie Jefferson and Josh Gordon decided to make a run for the border in the wee hours of Sunday morning to curb the midnight munchies. Unfortunately, the two players had the right game plan but failed in the execution. At approximately 2:15 am Sunday morning cops arrived at the local Baylor Taco Bell only to find Willie Jefferson passed out in the front seat of his car in the Taco Bell drive through lane. Upon inspection, cops found a small plastic bag of marijuana on the center console and more bags of pot on the floorboard of the driver’s seat. Star wide receiver Josh Gordon was also present, passed out in the passenger seat next to Jefferson.

Both players were charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, punishable by up to 6 months in jail and a $2,000.00 fine. As the Bears host Texas Tech this Saturday, coach Art Briles did not comment on the status of the two individuals. However, it’s highly unlikely Gordon wont dress because the team will need the services of its leading receiver who has amassed 14 catches for 327 yards and 4 TDs this season.
