Randy Bates, Northwestern’s linebackers coach, was recently hospitalized after suffering a bruised lip that required 4 stitches after trying to break-up a fight. Earlier last week, he saw two unfamiliar people on his property in the Evanston-Skokie area. He politely asked the two strangers to leave. In response, they turned on Bates causing him to sustain injuries.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 pm. The Skokie Police Department are searching for two male suspects, one believed to be between 17-19.
