Happy 4th of July!

It’s the Fourth of the July weekend and TheMatadorSports.com is ready for a relaxing couple of days filled with bbq, beer, and fireworks. To help pass the time on this beautiful Friday, check out the latest buzz in college football.

First and foremost, do not follow the footsteps of Georgia’s AD Damon Evans. His DUI is not the sign of a good role model.

It never pays to lie, it could hurt your future employment, just ask USC’s Todd McNair.

If you happen to win the powerball or megamillions, move to New Jersey and donate money to Rutgers as they need a new sugar daddy to assume naming rights of the football stadium and basketball arena.

It’s a sad day for football fans as San Diego sports icon Don “Air”  Coryell passed away, RIP.

The Dr. knows best. It’s time for Notre Dame to join the Big 10.

Lastly, if you convince yourself long enough, you will never think you did anything wrong. Just look no further than Pete Carroll who continues to blast the NCAA for coming down so hard on Troy. It’s a lot easier for him to take this position when he is sitting pretty in Seattle. It’s funny how not all his former players feel the same way.

Well enjoy the long weekend, take on some good futbol and get out there and have some fun!
