Carter leaves Ohio State

Former Ohio State WR Duron Carter (son of NFL great Chris Carter)  is headed to Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, KS. Carter, a freshman last season, played in ten games for the Buckeyes and accumulated 176 yards and 1 touchdown on 13 receptions. While Carter produced sporadically on the field, his production in the classroom slipped. He was ruled academically ineligible for Ohio State’s 2010 Citi Rose Bowl Game matchup against the Oregon Ducks and missed all of OSU’s spring practices.

It’s unknown how long Carter plans to study at Coffeyville, but he’ll more than likely try to make it back to OSU by Spring 2011.
