Leave your vuvuzela at home

For those of you planning to attend the upcoming college football games at Yankee Stadium to include the inaugural Pinstripe Bowl, have no fear, the drone of the vuvuzela will not be welcomed. Stadium officials have quickly banned the annoying plastic horn buzz-makers that are incessantly buzzing all throughout World Cup matches.

Yankee Stadium is already enforcing this rule as one fútbol loving Yankee fan, who snuck in the annoying buzz-maker, was quickly pointed out when blowing his vuvuzela. Security guards gave him the option of forfeiting the vuvuzela or leaving the game. The fan chose the latter with the hopes of sneaking in his prize vuvuzela in on another day.

So for all you Army, Air Force, Rutgers and Boston College fans who have upcoming dates at Yankee Stadium, DO NOT bring your vuvuzela to The Bronx. Other programs are praying the vuvuzela does not migrate throughout the college football landscape or similar bans will be enforced.

Until then, enjoy the World Cup and blow your vuvuzela to your heart’s content, but come college football season, you better leave your plastic horn behind.
