FB Van Stumon (#44) was arrested over the weekend for a DWI and other charges
The Razorbacks got some bad news this past Saturday as FB Van Stumon was charged with a DWI after being pulled over for making an improper turn in Fayetteville. The young back failed his field sobriety test and blew a .10. He was arrested on the scene and booked into the Washington County jail but was subsequently released on a $1,200 bond.
Stumon’s court date is set for July 16. Coach Bobby Petrino was disappointed in hearing this news and stated the school will handle the matter internally. Stumon, who played in 3 games last season, was poised to make a bigger impact in 2010 as the Razorbacks are gearing up to make a run for the SEC crown.
