If you happen to be on eBay and you are bidding on a Rose Bowl ring please be warned that the possession of stolen property (regardless if you paid for it or not) is a crime. Former Badger great and NFL running back Ron Dayne was a recent victim of theft and he wants his priceless Rose Bowl rings returned.
The last three months have been rough for the Heisman trophy winner. Not only is he going through a divorce, but he is dealing with two break-ins. Thieves broke into his Madison home in April and his Madison apartment in May. Among items stolen included his commemorative bracelets and Rose Bowl rings. When all said and done, over $140,000.00 worth of valuables were lifted from Dayne’s homes.
As of now, police are still searching for suspects but have no leads. In the meantime, happy bidding.
