DE Owen Thomas (#40) was found dead today in his off campus apartment
Some sad news is coming out of the City of Brotherly Love. Earlier today, University of Pennsylvania announced that Quaker captain and DE Owen Thomas was found dead in his off-campus residence at around 2:00 p.m. by his roommates. There is no indication of foul play and this case is not being treated as a homicide.
Thomas was a 2nd team All-Ivy league player in 2009 and was voted as a team captain for the 2010 season. As a junior, Thomas amassed 29 tackles with six sacks. It’s a sad day for the Quakers and the entire Penn community.
