Myron continues to Rolle

Myron Rolle may have taken a year off to study, but he hasn't missed a step when it comes to football.

Former Florida State safety Myron Rolle is about as impressive as you get. Not only was Rolle an exceptional safety at Florida State, but he was also awarded the Rhodes Scholarship and studied at Oxford University for a degree in medical anthropology.

He is a dedicated individual, gifted athlete, and a philanthropist. He and his family started the Myron L. Rolle foundation which is designed to benefit children and families in need. Coming from a Bahamian heritage, the foundation plans to erect the Myron L. Rolle Medical Clinic and Sports Complex in the Bahamas. The foundation is a wonderful cause and I encourage all to donate.

Now that he has strengthened his education and developed a foundation to helping those in need, Rolle is ready to tackle the NFL. His first stop, Mobile, Alabama. Even though Rolle temporarily traded his playbook for the textbook, he is making heads turn at this year’s Senior Bowl despite Tim Tebow getting most of the press. He hasn’t lost a step, he has quick feet, good hands, and an eye for the ball. Top scouts have him listed as a possible second rounder, but as the week progresses and his rustiness wears off, he will certainly creep up that ladder.

Here at The Matador, we wish Rolle the best of luck and all the success in the NFL.
