President Barack Obama struck a Heisman pose for the winners of the 2011 Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy. The Air Force Falcons won the annual award for the second straight year and 18 overall against fellow service academies Army and Navy. Today, the team visited the White House to meet the boss.
The Falcons gathered in the East Room of the White House to receive its hardware from Obama. In return, Defensive back Jon Davies presented Obama with a game used ball and a Falcons jersey. After the gift exchange, Davies said to Obama, “You’re the man” and then asked him to strike a Heisman pose. Obama obliged.
It should be noted that an Air Force player has yet to win the Heisman.
