Courthouse to hold lottery for the general public to attend Sandusky hearing.

In an unnecessary attempt to garner more attention surrounding the Jerry Sandusky scandal, the Centre County Court of Common Pleas is establishing a lottery for limited seating at the upcoming preliminary hearing. For those who want to attend, you will have to submit an application via the court’s website on Wednesday at noon. The application window will be available for only 24-hours. Winners will be randomly selected and assigned a specific seat. This will be a highly sought after ticket as all eight victims will testify at the hearing.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. in Courtroom 1. Court officials will e-mail the winners this Friday and will provide instructions on how to obtain a ticket.
