Ohio State’s Jordan Hall sat the first two games after receiving improper benefits.

Buckeye booster and local businessman Robert DiGeronimo came forward and took full and complete responsibility for giving $200 payments to three Ohio State football players that ultimately led to their suspension.  Jordan Hall, Travis Howard and Corey Brown were all suspended for the first two weeks of the season for receiving improper benefits at the hands of DiGeronimo.

At February’s Cornerstone of Hope fundraiser (a charity led by his son-in-law), DiGeronimo handed Terrelle Pryor three envelopes filled with cash.  Pryor was instructed to give the money to the three mentioned players.

In a statement to the Columbus Dispatch, DiGeronimo stated, “However Mr. Pryor got the money, I take responsibility.”  “I am responsible for those kids coming up here from Columbus. I handled it wrong. I should not have handled it the way I did.”  The money was intended for travel reimbursement to the players.

All three players have since been reinstated and will be suited up for this Saturday’s marquee match-up against Miami.
