Cody Hawkins has been given every single chance to perform this season and–surprise surprise– has failed miserably. His coach and father continued to start Hawkins despite his terrible 2009 campaign. This season, Hawkins has an aplatry 1-4 record throwing 9 TDs and 9 INTs. Texas junior Vondrell McGee was named starting running back  for the ‘Horns today. There has been an intense battle for possession of the position between McGee and  sophomore Foswhitt Whittaker, but McGee took the lead after Whittaker was forced to sit out a few practices with injury. “The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You” were found scrawled on athletic tape attached to the carpet in Texas A&M’s Bright Football Complex Tuesday morning. The message found written on the tape is a lyric from A&M’s rival Texas’s fight song.   The facilities were burglarized and some football equipment was reported stolen.
