The Longhorns will Roll over the Tide

The BCS National Championship Game airs tonight with a match-up of #1 Alabama v. #2 Texas. The experts are all saying that Alabama should win this game (some say by 10 though the line is hovering around 4). As it stands, the SEC is 5- 0 in the BCS National Championship Game with most saying the Tide will safely make it to 6-0. However, in the words of Lee Corso, NOT SO FAST, MY FRIEND! The Longhorns are averaging over 40...

Longhorn Hooked By The Law

Texas junior Brandon Collins has been dismissed from the football team after being arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity . Collins is using a redshirt this year and hasn’t played in any of the team’s football games this season. Collins was ruled academically ineligible for this season which forced Texas to burn a redshirt season on him. Before the academic suspension, Collins was expected to assume the #2 receiver role opposite of Jordan Shipley. I’m...

A boy named Suh

Ndamukong Suh is the first defensive player to win AP Player of the Year Honors.  The beast of a defensive end from Nebraska edged out Stanford’s Toby Gerhart for the award. Suh has been a dominant force throughout the year and he put on a Heisman worthy performance in the Big XII championship game against Texas. Suh led the ‘Huskers with 12 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks and was invited to New York as a Heisman finalist as a...

Texas awarded Brown with a $2 million dollar raise fresh after a Big XII championship win over Nebraska. Brown will be receiving $5M anually for the rest of his time at Texas. Life is good for Brown these days. $5 mil in Austin, Texas is like a fridge full of food in Somalia,...

Marine dies in argument over Big 12 game

At the end of the day, college football is just a game. Now I am as passionate a fan as the next guy, but sometimes fans take their passion a bit too far for no other reason but to brag presumably for a team they didn’t even play for. The most recent nonsensical act of violence occurred after the Texas-Nebraska game at a home in North Carolina. During the epic Big 12 championship game, two friends got into a...

Mangino eats food, not words

The times sure have changed in Lawrence, Kansas. When head coach Mark Mangino was sporting a 12-1 record and an Orange Bowl victory over Virginia Tech, not a peep was coming out about his questionable coaching philosophy or his temper. Now that the Jayhawks have tasted success, they expect nothing but the same results. However, after pouring a significant amount of money into revamping the football program and facilities, the team came out strong starting 5-0. Then reality set...

Bradford aggravates right shoulder injury

After suffering an early shoulder injury on opening day against BYU, Sam Bradford suffered the same injury in the Red River Rivalry game at the hands of Texas’ Aaron Williams. The Heisman Trophy winner went down after a hard, but clean, hit by Williams. After the sack, Bradford, who was in obvious pain, did not see the field again. After an MRI and x-ray of his right shoulder this past Sunday, the results indicated that he aggravated his right shoulder injury–his throwing shoulder. This is good...
