In the wake of Memphis’ Tommy West’s departure, potential head coach replacements have already been named in Tommy Tuberville and Terry Bowden. Tuberville and Bowden are the front-runners for the position. Tuberville’s resume includes the former head coaching job at Auburn. Meanwhile, Bowden is the current coach at Div. II North Alabama. Auburn suspends DB Adams

Auburn is 5-2, but only 2-2 in SEC play. The Tigers, who have an uphill battle to move up the ranks in the SEC, just got a little weaker in an already thin position. The Commodores also lost starting right tackle James Williams with a dislocated left ankle. Both starters plan to have surgery this week. The Commodores play host to Mississippi State this Saturday night. Both teams sport a 1-1 record.
