The season is finally here! Looking forward to your pre- and post-game articles. Go PSU!!!
Is there anything that makes you more qualified to write here, than say, me? I have a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, started 3 years at a pretty respectable DIII program and have also watched lots and lots of college football.
Oh..and I am not a myopic twit who declines to use real facts when trying to make a point.
“several scholarship offers”!!!!!! That’s impressive!!!!!!!!!!!
Love your articles! Great insight to many aspects of college football – on and off the field. Keep bringing us all the latest news!
Hey let’s be fair in all this reporting on USC. Why is there no mention of the Criminal on the NCAA infractions committee. Yes Mr. Paul Dee. Who you say. Yes Mr. Paul Dee he was the AD who was involved an took part up to his ears in the
Miami scandal. Yet there is no mention of him heading the hearing on USC.
> Paul, was the athletic director at the University of Miami from 1993-2008. Within 3 years of his taking on that role, Miami was involved in numerous scandals, including (according to federal investigators) “perhaps the largest centralized fraud … ever committed” in the history of the Pell grant program, involving over $220,000 in federal funds. Additionally, under his tenure as athletic director, Miami was found to have steered over $400,000 of inappropriate payments to 140+ football players. Furthermore, he failed to correctly implement the school’s drug testing policy, and he did not hold his football players to that policy anyway. Three other sports were also put on probation. Given his less than sterling track record why was he of all people selected to head the NCAA infractions committee? His responce to the above failures was to self -sanction his football program a whopping 7 scholarships. Why did he feel the need to wack USC with a loss of 30? for far less serious offenses.Additionally, the NCAA imposed a 1-year bowl an on Miami an 3 years probation. Why did he feel USC should be penalized with a 2-year bowl ban an 4 years probation? These questions need to be asked an brought up an into the daylight if your reporting is to accurate. Please look into this an you will see this is correct an should be made public knowledge.
